On Friday, September 20, the Colonie Golf and Country Club was buzzing with excitement for Living Resources’ 15th Annual Golf Tournament. Who’s got talent? That’s right, the individuals in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program at Living Resources have talent! Their 2024 talent show was a hit filled with singing, dancing, and even a special puppet show. Preparation takes place months before with participants in the show working hard to hone their skills and perfect their talents. On Sunday, August 18, people gathered from far and wide for a day of racing, fashion, and community at The 1863 Club at the Saratoga Race Track. The event was hosted by Natalie Sillery and her fashion boutique, “Saratoga Trunk” and featured a one-of-a-kind event filled with world-class racing and world-class fashion to benefit the world-class causes of Living Resources and Building on Love. Five Southern New York Counties Come Together to Celebrate Teamwork, Determination, and Community While the world turned their eyes to Paris and the Summer Olympic Games, staff members and individuals at Living Resources turned their eyes to Platteville, New York where they held their First Southern Region Olympic Games. Congratulations David! David Lieberman is a 2018 graduate of The College Experience who currently works in the program as a Direct Support Professional. Recently, David was appointed a member of the Board of Trustees at his synagogue, Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany. Faith is important to David and his entire family. Adaptive and assistive technology has come to our Supportive Living Program and it is providing a great deal of support to individuals living and moving into their very own apartments. Last year, Living Resources was awarded funding through a New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Supportive Residential Habilitation Transformation Grant. This injection of revenue is allowing us to completely revamp our approach to Supportive Living.
