This month at our Warren County Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP), it was all about sunshine, smiles, and social connections. We had a wonderful time participating in a variety of fun and engaging activities, but the absolute highlight of the week was our community lemonade stand! We wanted to share some of the wonderful moments we’ve had at one of our residential program houses over the past couple of weeks. The individuals we support have been truly enjoying a variety of meaningful, exciting activities that perfectly reflect Living Resources’ core values of inclusivity, empowerment, and collaboration. Recently, we were thrilled to welcome a fantastic team of volunteers from KeyBank to one of our Living Resources residences for an incredible day of giving back. There is nothing quite like a warm, home-cooked meal to bring people together, and recently, the main office of Living Resources was filled with the delicious aroma of fresh pasta, savory sauces, and sweet treats. Students from the Living Resources College Experience Program took over the kitchen to host a spectacular spaghetti fundraiser, showcasing their talents, teamwork, and hard work. June in the Capital Region brings an unmistakable energy. One filled with bright colors, joyful music, and a shared sense of community. This year, Living Resources staff, community members, and the individuals we support proudly stepped out into the sunshine to march in the annual Albany Capital Pride Parade. The rolling hills of Sullivan County became a giant classroom for the Living Resources Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP). Recently, the Living Resources community came together for a truly special occasion: a 70th birthday bash for Bruce, a longtime member of our residential program.
