This month, individuals from our Community Living Program and C2L Community Habilitation Program embraced our core values of inclusivity and empowerment during a beautiful day of outdoor exploration.
The group hit the trails at Plotterkill Preserve, working in collaboration with our dedicated staff to navigate the wooded paths. A highlight of the hike was gathering by the waterfall, a perfect setting for fostering a culture of kindness and connection as everyone shared stories and celebrated each other’s achievements. Michael, Joseph, Jose, and Jerrod all demonstrated wonderful independence and confidence on the trail, truly embodying self-determination.
Upholding our commitment to excellence in creating well-rounded, meaningful outcomes, the adventure didn’t end there! The team wrapped up the day by heading to Wagon Train BBQ for a delicious late lunch. Over great food and plenty of laughs, everyone felt heard, valued, and deeply included.
By encouraging autonomy and building a supportive environment where everyone belongs, our staff and individuals continue to live out our agency mission with integrity every single day.
