Childcare Collaboration: Partnership Reaches 10 Year Milestone

Strong connections, like the one between Living Resources and St. Vincent’s Preschool in Albany, can lead to meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The preschool has been accepting interns from The College Experience (CEP) since 2013. Living Resources’ Schenectady Site Based Day Habilitation Program participants couldn't have picked a better day to branch out and go apple picking! They hopped aboard a giant tractor trolley at Bowman’s Orchards for a tour of the apple trees. All the individuals then disembarked to pick their own apples and experience all the best sights, sounds, and scents of the season. Let's meet Zach and learn more! Price Chopper warehouse worker Zach is becoming a pro at perseverance. End of Summer Soirée

Living Resources’ Rensselaer and Columbia County Community Opportunities Program officially drew the summer season to a close in high fashion by holding a collaborative end-of-summer bash which they called an “End of Summer Soirée!” What’s the recipe for a Living Resources Soirée? Our College Freshman Have Arrived!

“Trepidatious” was the word of the day. The first day of school is always a bit unnerving and the first day of college, especially when you’re leaving home for the first time is even more so. On Monday, August 14, our College Experience program welcomed 25 new students into the program on The College of Saint Rose campus, our largest class to date! They came from all over New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
