Congressman Paul Tonko Visits Living Resources
On Tuesday, October 9, Living Resources was honored to host a visit from Congressman Paul D. Tonko. After a meeting with our CEO and several Board Members, the tour began with a visit to our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program. The Congressman learned about the ABI program and how our many structured courses including art therapy helps individuals on their path to recovery. Experience With the College Program
During our 10th Annual Golf Tournament, Brendan Salmon (2019 College Experience Program graduate) and his father Michael shared their journey and experience with Living Resources College Experience Program. If you have a child, friend, family member with special needs, we urge you to listen.
Living Resources Guest-stars on Local Autism Podcast
Jennifer Richard and Colleen Dergosits joined Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara on his Autism Action Update podcast to talk about The College Experience Program, a collaboration between Living Resources and The College of Saint Rose that provides students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to attend college, be a part of the campus community, and helps them transition to adult life. Parasailing Fun
Best Day Ever Sometimes the best days happen spontaneously. Karly let her Community Habilitation staff, Alexxis know that she wanted to go on a parasailing adventure in Lake George, and a few days later they were airborne! Karly said it was the best day ever and is already planning another adventure!
