Thanksgiving is usually a time for going home to be with family, but 2020 has had its own rules.
The individuals we serve have hunkered down in place to do their part in preventing the spread COVID-19. For some of our individuals, this meant a loss not only of the company of family, but of the traditional turkey dinner which is frequently synonymous with Thanksgiving.
Never fear, Bill and Lindsey are here! Lindsey Ryan, manager of our Intrada Apartments told staff that she wanted to provide dinners for those in her program, and Bill took it from there. He connected with his friend Steven “Sully” Sullivan, owner of the Olde Bryan Inn and Longfellows in Saratoga. With barely any lead time, Sully agreed to supply Thanksgiving dinners for each of our eight individuals who reside at Intrada, FREE OF CHARGE. These luscious feasts included turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, string beans, and even apple crisp for dessert. Each meal was packaged in a shopping bag and hand delivered by staff to the grateful recipients. Bill said “I love our folks and will do anything I can to make them happy.”
Our sincere thanks to Bill for connecting us with the Olde Bryan Inn, and of course to Steven Sullivan for his unhesitating generosity.
Thanks for being part of our Living Resources family, together we continue to make a difference!
