In honor of 518 Day, Living Resources executives and other office staff members spent a morning working outside at some of our residences in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga counties. The beautiful spring weather cooperated beautifully as everyone rolled up their sleeves and picked up brushes to apply a fresh coat of protective paint to ramps, railings, spindles, and decks.

Everyone’s hard work went a long way! By the end of the four hour effort, six residences were spruced up and teams were left feeling satisfied by a job well done. The individuals who call our residences home deserve to have accessible, well-maintained outdoor recreation areas and teams were happy to lend a hand in our agency’s commitment to that goal!

518 Day is a time of Capital Region pride, philanthropy, and volunteerism benefiting local nonprofit organizations, like Living Resources. It is celebrated on May 18 (calendar date 5-18) to mark our region’s primary area code. We are thrilled that we were able to take part in 518 Day both through our actions and a fundraising campaign. Thank you to every person who contributed! If you missed 518 Day, but are still in a giving spirit, you can always make a donation by clicking here: https://bit.ly/49PSS05. We deeply appreciate all of the support we receive and are so grateful to have served the Capital Region for half a century of impact!
