The DCOP runs 52 weeks a year, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3pm. The program will be closed on major holidays and for inclement weather. Inclement weather cancellations are based upon school closings within the district. If you have any questions regarding cancellations, please contact the supervisor of your county’s program.
The program provides transportation from door to door. At the end of the day, participants can either be dropped off at home or another predetermined location, such as an after work program or an Arts Program site.
Four participants will be supervised by one, or sometimes two, staff at one time. Each staff member is assigned a cell phone which is used to communicate activity cancellations, schedule changes, and other issues to the county manager throughout the day.
Participants are allowed to have a job and come to DCOP part time on their days off
