“Focus on the possibilities for success, not on the potential for failure.” — Napoleon Hill

Stuck at home when you’re used to being out and about? That’s a common theme these days, but there’s no reason to be bored. House manager Sandi Stevens said her residents are used to going to their day programs, but that is not possible in this new environment of being on PAUSE. Therefore, they have shifted their focus to activities within the house. The activities she provides are numerous, including arts and crafts, puzzles, word games, cooking, BINGO, and scavenger hunts. Sandi said her goal is to have her individuals do something new each day to keep their minds focused and their spirits positive.

Residents even planted seeds and they check on their progress every day. They are excited to report that their seeds are flourishing and are ready to be transplanted into bigger pots. They also received a gift of “Sea Monkeys” and they are excited to check on those squirmy creatures every day. In addition, they regularly do Facetime with their families so they feel connected.

Thank you Sandi for your commitment to your Living Resources family and for making a difference each day.

Together, we are stronger than Covid-19!
