Summer vibes are in full swing with Living Resources’ Community Living crew! Rain or shine, nothing can stop the fun, just ask our adventurous duo who, along with QIDP/Manager Emily, kicked off the season with a day full of laughs and surprises on Saturday, June 7! In celebration of 518 Day, a celebration of service, collaboration, and community empowerment within the greater Capital Region, Living Resources program directors and office staff traded their typical Friday activities for something a bit more hands-on. Armed with paint buckets and rollers, they rolled up their sleeves and embarked on painting projects at the main office and various residence houses throughout the region. A wave of pride filled the MVP Arena as our College Experience Program seniors, clad in caps and gowns, prepared to graduate alongside their peers at Russell Sage College. This milestone marks more than a ceremony, it is the culmination of years of determination, growth, and hard work. On Thursday, May 15, thousands gathered at the Empire State Plaza in Albany for the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge race. Hundreds of Capital Region companies were represented at the race, with Living Resources having a team of nearly 30 present and ready to run or walk the 3.5 mile race course. The Living Resources Wellness Committee covered team members’ $30 race entry fee, allowing any team member to participate if they wanted to. On Friday, April 25, Living Resources Co-Founder and Former CEO, Fred Erlich, was honored with Lifepath’s Third Age Achievement Award. The Third Age Achievement Awards, presented by CDPHP, honor individuals who prove that life after 60 is filled with purpose, passion and new accomplishments. These remarkable honorees continue to excel in their professions, embrace volunteer and board opportunities, stay active through fitness and travel and set new goals rather than settling into retirement. The spring semester is here and The College Experience Program (CEP) is out and about! Recently, students in the program participated in a day trip to New York City.
