It was truly a joy to reconnect with Joe H., a bright light in our College Experience Program (CEP) since 2021. Joe’s enthusiasm for the program is infectious, and he truly cherishes his classes, finding them to be the most enriching part of his CEP journey. The Colonie Golf and Country Club course was buzzing with excitement on Friday, September 19. Golfers came from far and wide to golf in Living Resources’ 16th Annual Golf Tournament. On Thursday, September 11 the Living Resources Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee hosted a fantastic potluck lunch to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event was a fantastic way to honor the rich cultural traditions of Hispanic Americans. The potluck was a culinary journey filled with an impressive array of authentic Hispanic dishes and delectable desserts, all lovingly prepared by members of the DEI committee. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team of volunteers from Pursuit, an Albany-based SBA Loan company, who dedicated their morning to giving the porches at one of our College Experience homes a much-needed refresh. These homes are where students with intellectual and developmental disabilities live and learn as they build the skills and confidence to pursue their dreams. Thanks to Pursuit’s generosity, the students now return each day to a brighter, more welcoming home that reflects pride, care, and community.
