We are honored to present the 2023 Amanda Rivenburg Rising Star Phoenix Award recipient, Mac Weiss! Mac began his career at Living Resources in September 2020 as the Assistant Director of Fleet Management. He is responsible for over 200 agency vehicles, the majority of which are used within the Day Community Opportunity Program (DCOP). Mac works diligently with staff on vehicle safety and training, handling all vehicle incidents, and working with insurance companies. He also tracks all vehicle expenses and monitors all reports associated with the Living Resources fleet management. Mac is a member of the agency’s safety committee, chair of the Vehicle Incident Review Committee, and truly an instrumental part of Living Resources. Each day giving of his time to ensure the success of the agency and our programs!
On October 6, 2018, Amanda Rivenburg, Assistant Director of DCOP was tragically killed in the Schoharie limousine crash. In her memory, the Amanda Rivenburg Rising Phoenix Award was established and is presented each year to a Living Resources rising star staff member. In doing so, we honor Amanda’s loving spirit, wonderful smile, thoughtful nature, and genuine commitment to her colleagues and program participants.
