The season of giving is here, and Living Resources is excited to talk about the great work done by our Warren Day Community Opportunities Program (DCOP). This month, the people in the Warren DCOP have been very busy helping others and making a difference in the community.

The group started their volunteering at the Salvation Army. They knew winter was coming soon, so the DCOP members spent their time getting winter clothes ready for people who really need them.

They carefully sorted and packed important things like scarves, gloves, and hats. This made sure that people facing the cold months would get the warmth and comfort they need. The volunteers loved being creative, too! They enjoyed matching the items to make complete, nice-looking sets. This was a thoughtful way to show care, making sure every package was special.

Next, the Warren DCOP group moved on to their second mission: spending time with children at Building Blocks day care. They happily spent time doing different activities with the kids.

The volunteers brought smiles to many faces by reading stories to children of all ages. They also gave gentle help by looking after the babies in the youngest room. One of the best parts was having fun and using their imaginations while playing with Play-Doh alongside the children. The DCOP members really liked this chance to spend time connecting with the kids.

We are so very proud of the Warren DCOP group for their hard work and commitment to giving back. What they did is an important reminder of the huge positive power we have when we all work together for the good of the community.
