Recently, our Employment Services and Community Living programs came together to hold employment learning sessions for individuals in our Supportive Living program. These sessions allow individuals to learn about the qualities that make a responsible employee, as well as the proper way to conduct themselves in a professional setting. Professionalism was the theme of the day in this past session, with individuals sharing stories of their first jobs and what they learned about professionalism through that employment experience.
Sessions like these are vital to promoting a life of dignity, independence, and happiness by giving individuals the tools they need to succeed in the workforce. After these learning sessions, individuals can feel confident when entering or re-entering the job market because they now have the tools and support to help them succeed.
