The recent conference hosted by the Brain Injury Association of New York (BIANYS) was a truly special experience for the members of our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program.
Our participants shared that they felt seen and valued at the conference, which is so incredibly important. One session that particularly resonated with them was on navigating “emotional storms.” They found it deeply relatable and came away with truly useful information.
It was also wonderful to see them reconnect with fellow TBI survivors they’d met at previous conferences, strengthening their own vital network of support. We know that the narrow, vendor-lined hallways presented a bit of a challenge, though the freebies certainly made up for it! We’re also incredibly grateful to the BIANYS staff, who were so kind and responsive to everyone’s needs throughout the event.
