There’s nothing quite like the irresistible aroma of charcoal and barbecue sauce drifting on a warm summer breeze, especially when every delicious meal sold goes toward making a direct, positive impact in our local community.

Recently, Fogg’s Automotive in Scotia opened up their grounds to host a legendary Brooks House of BBQ drive-thru fundraiser benefiting Living Resources. Thanks to an incredible team effort between the Fogg’s crew, passionate volunteers, and the Brooks BBQ pit masters, the event was a resounding success!

While the charcoal pits kept the heat turned up outside, the true heart of the event beat under the vibrant tents nearby. An enthusiastic team of volunteers worked seamlessly to pack complete chicken dinners, pairing freshly cooked chicken with hot baked potatoes, roll, and side items into meal containers.

With cheerful smiles, protective gloves, and remarkable speed, the volunteer team transformed food prep into a finely tuned operation. Whether loading bags, taking orders, or handing dinners straight into the hands of waiting drivers in the drive-thru line, everyone played a vital role in keeping traffic moving smoothly.

Beyond the fantastic food and great company, the event served a deeply meaningful cause. All proceeds directly benefit Living Resources, and our mission of supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities or other life-challenging conditions to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.

An event like this doesn’t happen without extraordinary community spirit. Huge gratitude goes out to Fogg’s Automotive for hosting the event, and the amazing volunteers from the company who worked tirelessly to pack meals, take orders, and serve food. Lastly, thank you to our wonderful community for showing up and supporting our mission!
