April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time dedicated to fostering deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse experiences in the autism community. Here at Living Resources, we were proud to host a recent panel discussion featuring some of our dedicated staff members, offering their unique perspectives and valuable insights. This engaging conversation served as a powerful reminder of the importance of moving beyond simple awareness towards genuine acceptance and inclusion.

The panel was moderated by our very own Julie W. and brought together the expertise and lived experiences of:

  • Jesse S. – Media and Activities Liaison for the College Experience program
  • Tyler C. – Media and Public Relations Specialist
  • Abby C. – Peer Mentor

Together, they navigated crucial topics, shedding light on common misconceptions, discussing the nuances of navigating the workplace with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and offering thoughtful reflections on the recent comments made by HHS Secretary Kennedy.

This panel discussion was more than just an event; it was a heartfelt exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. It reinforced the vital work that Living Resources does every day to support individuals and their families. The insights shared by Jesse, Tyler, and Abby not only educated but also inspired a renewed sense of purpose and dedication within our organization.
