Ian J. Mott leads the Employment Department and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program at Living Resources. Through partnerships with businesses, state agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations, the Employment Department provides an array of vocational, prevocational, and educational services throughout the Capital Region. These services help individuals with disabilities explore, secure, and maintain meaningful, competitive, and integrated employment while promoting inclusive workforce practices.
Under the auspices of the NYS Dept of Health, the Traumatic Brain Injury Program offers Service Coordination, Independent Living Skills Training, Community Integration Counseling, and a Structured Day Program. The team provides compassionate, coordinated support to help individuals and families navigate the practical and emotional challenges of brain injury while promoting dignity, independence, self-determination, and community connection.
Ian joined Living Resources in January 2019, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the areas of vocational rehabilitation counseling, program development, and management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Connecticut College, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Hunter College, and is a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Outside of work, Ian enjoys pursuing creative musical projects, spending time with family and friends, and engaging in a variety of outdoor activities. He happily resides in Voorheesville, NY, with his wife and two sons.
