Deaf & Interpreting Services

Living Resources Deaf Services Department has the capacity of providing professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for all Deaf, hearing-impaired and hearing parties in a plethora of settings, including, but not limited to, educational, medical, legal, business, theatre and religious within the Capital Region and beyond. This agency accommodates an array of interpreting services, such as ASL/ English Interpretation, Transliteration, Oral Transliteration, and Low Vision/ Tactile Interpretation, to satisfy the needs of any business or facility seeking to preserve compliance with Title III of the American with Disabilities Act found at www.ada.gov.
These services allow for effective communication through the use of qualified ASL interpreters; the majority of whom hold national certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and/or the National Association for the Deaf, which assures all parties of professional, ethical, and business practices through the adherence to the Code of Professional Conduct, found on the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf’s website.
