Living Resources Employment Program, one of the first supported employment programs in the Capital District, has been providing employment services for individuals with disabilities since 1985 and transition services since 1997.

We currently serve approximately one hundred individuals in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. Employment Program staff help individuals:

• explore what kinds of jobs they might like to do
• find a job that matches their interests and abilities
• learn the various job tasks
• maintain employment

Our goal is to make a good job match. i.e., to find a job that matches the individual's interests and abilities and provides an employer with a capable individual who is interested in that particular job. Once a job is secured, we provide on going support both to the individual and the employer with the goal of making each placement successful.
