RI/LPN – 2nd shift available

As a primary function of the position, the LPN will attend to tasks of medication & treatment administration, personal care and routine observation of each resident’s health status, provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:  The LPN shall be licensed and currently registered by the New York State Department of Education.  At least one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled is also preferred.

Acquired Brain Injury Program Service Coordinator  

The Service Coordinator is expected to assist the consumer(s) and families to develop a comprehensive service plan (ISP) which allows for the maximum amount of independence for the individual.  This involves collaborative efforts with the individual and family to develop goals which promote self-determination, independence and the acceptance of the current condition. 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and 2 years of experience providing Service Coordination type work are required.

Nurse Educator-RN

Provide medical training to staff in regards to CPR, First Aid, blood borne pathogens & OMRDD Medical Administrative course.  Provision of specialized health care training to staff members as needed.  Included, but not limited to: tube feeding, oxygen use, diabetes, vital signs, etc. Assist our Quality Assurance Department with internal investigations & medical audits. 

 

Requirements: Licensed & currently registered by NYS Dept. of Ed., min. 1 yr. of hospital exp. & min. 1 yr. exp. working w/ the developmentally disabled population.

Residential Habilitation Manager – ( Albany and Schenectady Counties)

Is responsible for assisting the consumer with day-to-day maintenance of his/her home and participation in community activities other than primary day activities (i.e. day treatment and supported work).  The RHM supervises staff that provides the supports and skill training specified in the individualized residential habilitation plan.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree in human services related field plus experience working with the developmentally disabled population.

                                                                  OR

Site Supervisor  - 1 in Saratoga County  and 1 in Albany county

The Site Supervisor is responsible for direct consumer care and overseeing staff that provide care and support to consumers in a residential site.  In collaboration with the Residential Habilitation Manager, he/she acts as a positive role model for consumers and co-workers to ensure the quality service delivered meet the needs of the individual consumer.

 

Qualifications:  HS Diploma or GED and two (2) years experience with the developmentally disabled population.

Two (2) year degree in related field and one (1) year experience with the developmentally disabled population.

College Experience Program – Residence Instructor

Living Resources joined with The College of Saint Rose to create the College Experience program (CEP), a unique opportunity for young adults with developmental disabilities.  Students in the program receive a specially designed curriculum on campus and live in apartments and houses nearby.

 

We are currently seeking Residence Instructors to provide a dorm-like atmosphere conducive to habilitation, advancement and the well being of the students.  Additional responsibilities include assisting each student in improving activities of daily living, social, recreational, communicative skills for supervised living and functioning within the community and college environment.
