Volunteering at Living Resources

The same old routine dragging you down? Need hours toward credit class hours? Want to fulfill an internship? Like to try new things?

We're Here to Help!

Living Resources has volunteer opportunities for everyone! If you enjoy working with others and would like to work with people that are developmentally disabled...CALL US! Volunteering can mean learning, sharing and enjoying life more. Volunteers can make a strong and lasting impact.

Volunteering can be a lot of fun!

Volunteer Opportunities:

The After School Program:

In five schools throughout the Capital District, the after school program offers a premium service for children with disabilities. From recreational activities, and crafts, games, music, outings and lots of laughter, FUN is the key factor! If you enjoy working with children, and helping them reach their highest potential, this is the volunteer spot for you!

The Day Community Opportunities Program:

Reaching out to Albany, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties, this program encourages its participants to be as active as they can. From being a good neighbor and assisting those around them, horticulture, working on refinishing, along with a variety of outings, this group is on the move. If you enjoy socializing, hands on projects and are willing to just have a good time, they would love to have you join them!

The Carriage House Arts Center:

A way for all of our participants to get in touch with the artist within them, the Carriage House offers that and more. From the first piece of art work to experimenting with a variety of mediums, colors and styles, it's a chance to encourage the artist within to show off their stuff. If you enjoy trying new things and do not mind a little paint or clay, this is an ideal place to be!

Residential:

For a flexible schedule that has a variety of needs, the residences would enjoy a new friendly face. The recreational time, outings, games, and one on one time is essential to round the day out. If you enjoy spending time with others and having fun, you would enjoy this time with our participants.
