ABI SERVICES

The Acquired Brain Injury Program offers a wide range of services designed to optimize your ability to regain a level of competence that affords a quality of life within your community:

SERVICE COORDINATION

CLINICAL /COUNSELING/TREATMENT

INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS

HOME & COMMUNITY SERVICES SUPPORTS                           

Service Coordination

 

 The Service Coordinator assesses your individual needs and works together with you and your family to develop an array of services to assist you to attain the highest level of independence possible within the limitations imposed by the injury.

 
     
 

NeuroPsychologic Services

 
 
· Assessment and identification of persons who can benefit from treatment;
 Intensive Cognitive Remedial Training Program
· Conjoint counseling with family members, you and clinical staff;
· Monthly educational seminars and workshops for support staff;
· Ongoing consultation with support staff and "crises intervention" as needed;
· Inclusion of support staff members within the intensive cognitive remedial training program to observe, firsthand, appropriate methods of intervention;
· Joint planning of independent living skill goals with ILS trainers and assistance in facilitation of those goals;
· Joint planning of realistic vocational goals;
· Ongoing consultation with vocational counselors and job coaches;
· Psychotherapy and counseling.
   
 
 

 

 
 

Independent Living Skills

 
 

Independent Living Skills Trainers/Coaches will work with you to help you achieve those skills necessary to maintain yourself within the community and to be able to live as independently as possible. Such skills include personal care, housekeeping, personal issues, medication management, managing finances, and developing social activities. Home and Community Supports Service Staff will provide hands-on guidance to help you to carry out these skills.

Additional services are available through Living Resources’ Employment Program and the Carriage House Arts Center.
