Per-Diem Instructors

Save on gas with your part-time job! - We have many 8 – 14 hour positions all in one day, one location.  Get all your hours in one trip! Other PT schedules to choose from with daytime, afternoon/evening and awake/overnight hours in a residential program. Choose a setting close to home in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, or Saratoga counties where you can teach & assist residents in achieving independent living skills.  Paid training!

Instructors needed in our After School Programs to work with students with developmental disabilities on community and classroom skills, also recreational & independence building activities.  Paid Training & Excellent Pay!

Service Coordinator (Albany office & Field Work)

The Service Coordinator assists the consumer and his/her advocate to create and maintain the Individualized Service Environment.  He/She works in partnership with consumers to enable them to live and participate in the community according to their personal goals, preferences and needs.

 

Qualifications:   Associate’s degree in a health or human services field and one (1) year experience working with the developmentally disabled population, required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation a must.

Acquired Brain Injury Program Service Coordinator –(Part-Time)

The Service Coordinator is expected to assist the consumer(s) and families to develop a comprehensive service plan (ISP) which allows for the maximum amount of independence for the individual.  This involves collaborative efforts with the individual and family to develop goals which promote self-determination, independence and the acceptance of the current condition. 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and 2 years of experience providing Service Coordination type work are required.

Develop and provide training and Day Habilitation services, in our Site-based program, for people with developmental disabilities.

 

Qualifications:    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college (preferred in psychology, social work, or special education) and some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Home Care Employment Opportunities

 

Personal Care Aides (PCA): These are NYS certified positions providing personal care, and housekeeping tasks for members of the community in their own homes. Some duties may include assisting with bathing, toileting, light housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, laundry, and running errands. PCAs are required to follow the patient’s plan of care, maintain simple records, report any problems, and discuss observations with a nursing supervisor.

 

Home Health Aides (HHA): These are NYS certified positions providing clients with services and support in areas such as personal hygiene, grooming, transfers and range-of-motion exercises. HHAs may prepare special modified diets, take vital signs, and change non-sterile dressings. They are required to follow the patient’s plan of care, maintain simple records, report any problems, and discuss observations with a nursing supervisor. Other duties may include light housekeeping chores, laundry, grocery shopping, and small errands.
