Save on gas with your part-time job! - We have many 8 – 14 hour positions all in one day, one location.  Get all your hours in one trip! Other PT schedules to choose from with daytime, afternoon/evening and awake/overnight hours in a residential program. Choose a setting close to home in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, or Saratoga counties where you can teach & assist residents in achieving independent living skills.  Paid training!

Responsible for developing and providing training and Day Habilitation services which are designed to facilitate the intellectual, sensory-motor and affective development for each program participant.

 

Qualifications:    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college (preferred in psychology, social work, or special education) and minimum of 1 year of  experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Needed to work in both site-based and community-based day habilitation programs serving individuals w/ developmental disabilities.  Responsible for the overall daily care, safety & implementation of goals/programs for the consumers.

Adjunct Professor for the College Experience Program   (To Begin Fall semester 2010 )

      

The College Experience Program, offered at The College of Saint Rose in partnership with Living Resources, seeks to fill an adjunct professor position for the Fall 2010 semester.  Responsibilities include teaching an Advanced Computer Applications course to college-aged students with developmental disabilities in the College Experience Program, developing curriculum for the course and communicating with the Academic Coordinator. 

 

Qualifications:  Required qualifications include a Masters degree and experience teaching.  Preferred qualifications include a Masters degree in Special Education and 3 years of experience teaching special education or experience teaching at the college level.

Home Care Employment Opportunities

 

Personal Care Aides (PCA): These are NYS certified positions providing personal care, and housekeeping tasks for members of the community in their own homes. Some duties may include assisting with bathing, toileting, light housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, laundry, and running errands. PCAs are required to follow the patient’s plan of care, maintain simple records, report any problems, and discuss observations with a nursing supervisor.

 

Home Health Aides (HHA): These are NYS certified positions providing clients with services and support in areas such as personal hygiene, grooming, transfers and range-of-motion exercises. HHAs may prepare special modified diets, take vital signs, and change non-sterile dressings. They are required to follow the patient’s plan of care, maintain simple records, report any problems, and discuss observations with a nursing supervisor. Other duties may include light housekeeping chores, laundry, grocery shopping, and small errands.
